No Map Known to Exist Currently there is a growing village re-established in Marshaven, led by Sir Deitric Blackmoon, a knight of the Realm of Evendarr. He is currently recruiting heavily for the defeneses of Marshaven. All who wish to aide the cause are directed to contact him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here Follows the only know account of the Destruction of the original settlement of Marshaven: In the year 600, an Evendarrian expeditionary company was sent to the Southeastern reaches of the continent Avalon. Their last waypoint was the Duchy of Tyrangel. Months passed before word was heard from the company. At last, they had found a suitable area to establish a new settlement. The founders of the settlement named it Marshaven - a reflection of the surrounding lands. A trade route was established between Tyrangel and the new settlement. Trade continued intermittently for a few months. Soon, all fell silent. In 601, scouts were sent to discover what happened to Marshaven and its residents - they never returned... During this time, the Duchy of Tyrangel became encircled in a bubble of mysterious energies. Sages surmised that some form of time rift had opened and enveloped the entire duchy. The Kingdom of Evendarr gave up on Marshaven, and turned its attentions to more pressing issues, such as the problems with Tyrangel. While on tour of the kingdom, the royal entourage came across a messenger. The poor fellow was barely alive. They nursed him back to health, and asked him from where he hailed. "The doom that was Marshaven.", he uttered. The messenger then went on to tell his tale: Soon after the trade route was established, the merchant caravans stopped returning. The settlement, suspecting bandits or troubles with some of the local tribes dispatched a group of their best warriors to clear the way. Many days passed, and there was no word. The council decided to wait a bit longer before sending out another force. Almost a week passed, and then some of the peasants began disappearing from their homes. The settlement grew uneasy, and the council was forced to send out another group to investigate the problems. A few days later, a lone rider was spied approaching the gate. He carried the guidon of one of the knights that had been sent forth recently. The guards opened the gate, and our leader went forth to hear his words. As the rider approached, it became evident that the steed was dessicated, its eyes glowed, and its hooves made no sound. The mounted figure spurred on the steed, and impaled our queen on his spear. The rider then looped a rope around her neck and road away, dragging the body behind. That night, the council met and decided to dispatch the fleetest of foot to the Duchy of Tyrangel to seek help. I was one of them. I arrived at Tyrangel in the dead of night. I tried to wake someone, but for some reason, no one would respond. I was tired, and thought perhaps I could find help in the morning. When I awoke, the sky was crackling with energy, and the towns folk were in a panic. I looked for an elder, but was waylayed from behind. When I awoke, I found myself atop a pile of bodies in a large cavern. A pack of blue hounds was fighting over a corpse. I snuck away and hid in the cavern for quite sometime. Eventually, I came across an exit. I have been running ever since. A Call To Arms! Upon hearing the tale of the messenger, the King dispatched a message to an up and coming knight of the order, Deitric Blackmoon. The message ordered the knight to round up a company. It's mission - to discover the fate of Marshaven; to lend aid to its survivors, if any; and to build a fortification in the name of the Kingdom of Evendarr. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Up until this account of Marshaven was found, its was belived that the settlement was overrun by Pirates and wiped out. There was one report of a ship having found the settlement that had great difficulty locating the Marshaven. When it was finally found, it had been burned to the ground, and little remained to point to the location of any of its former inhabitants. ( The New NERO Florida Campaign is run by a new group of players from around Florida, they have taken the old FL campaign as their own and are incorporating what little is known of the first NERO FL into their chapters History and are building a new Story from there) (The First Marshaven Campaign was briefly known as NERO Florida, located in Tampa. It closed within a year.)
