The History of Caladore

Caladore is a fairly brand new town. It has been known by many names over the
years. If you are interested in those talk to a librarian or a sage. You may try
looking to the Academy of Arcane Arts as well, although sometimes they close the
doors to commoners when their plague sets in, as it often does. My account will
only dwell on the current time, as it is really the only thing that matters.
Caladore is in the middle of the Black Forest. It was established about 4 years
ago by a group of stalwart adventurers. It is rumored that they were drawn to
the city by a group of Fae playing a game. The Fae called the city Legerdemain.
The adventurers discovered the ruse and put a stop to the play. They found
themselves to be living in the ruins of an old abandoned city.
Since the time of the forming of the city, the lands have grown and prospered.
The nobles have renamed the black forest into its ancient name of Anolwyn. The
discovery of many artifacts has helped the area prosper. The land is likely
riddled with more treasure, as a series of earthquakes opened many cracks and
long forgotten caverns. There are many rumors regarding the mines, another city
below the ruined city, a Fae grove, and an abandoned dispirited nature grove.
The Anolwyn is now home to the elven wardancers who practice the forgotten elven
arts in combat.
In addition to the items that have been found to help the town and surrounding
lands flourish ,old and new enemies have been awakened. The death knights of
Invictus are always near. It also seems that the brood’s touch lingers on
somewhere in the land. It is also rumored that an ancient and unnamed enemy has
been awoken but bound somehow.
The small lumberjacking town is on the eastern side of the Kingdom of
Dragonreach, located near the Hadron River. Locally, Baron Tolmydian Starbinder
or one his Lords would be available for any further questions or concerns
regarding the current political issues.

Kingdom of Dragonreach a lard far to the northwest of
Evendarr, and lies on the western shore of the Sea of Avalon (Southern reaches).
It holds its gathers in the town of Caladore. This town is located within the
Barony of Caladore, and is watched over by the good Baron Tolmindian Starbinder
(known to be a Stone Elf Dragon Mage). Caladore had to fight off a minor Sessuar naval incursion by the great lakes about a year ago.
The Barony of Caladore lies within the County of Xessex.
