| Lycanthropy (Were-) | Those who are cursed with lycanthrope are commonly called werewolf, were-rat, were-tiger, or whatever animal whose shape they are forced to assume. Their transformation grants them great strength and stamina, but their mind is reduced to a more bestial state and they will seek out living creatures to satisfy their gnawing hunger. Only in certain phases of the moon will the beast within emerge. They are only affected by silver or, in rare cases, magical weapons and are very fierce and deadly foes. Beware of the bite of a were - it is said that is how the curse is passed. There is a known cure for lycanthrope. If infected, seek out one of the scholars of the Vale for aid. |
