Gryphon (Griffin)

- The gryphon is the symbol of the County Tyrangel. It is a large beast with the body of a lion, the head, fore claws, and wings of an eagle, and the tail of a goat. There are used in some elven cultures as an aerial cavalry unit. However, they are quite rare on the frontier. They are exceedingly swift and fly at great height.
