To All of Avendale
At the last gathering I attended Queen Niomi’s funeral. While I was there I watched and heard from so many people whose lives were touched by her, from her simple actions to her decisions made as a queen.
I did not know her well, I only knew of her. What I did know of her was that
she had unwavering strength and courage. She also had strong leadership and
convictions. I was very impressed by her. As a ruler; she made these lands from
an estate into a kingdom and the people around her from squires to barons and
above. She was also a great person, a loving wife, mother, and friend to so
many.
The loss of Queen Niomi is a great loss to all of us here, and some may mourn
forever, the rest of us will heal after time. Queen Niomi was so many things,
to so many people here in these lands. We should always remember how much she
put into this land physically and figuratively. Her ideas brought this land
into being, her dreams kept it growing, her leadership made it prosper, and
her strength, life, and even dying breath was used to protect it… and All
of us.
Her body has now been laid to rest, never allow her dreams to die...
