The Harmonic Song Collection (Various)

One of my favorite experiences as an adventurer has been to hear beautiful music and see how it can be used as powerful magic. The practitioners of this form of magic are called spell singers, and I have encountered a fair number of them throughout my travels. One of the wonderful things about spell singers, though, as compared to normal wizards, is that every spell singer is unique. If I cast a cure light wounds spell, then I use the same incant as my friend Omi would if she were to cast a cure light wounds spell. This is not the way it works for spell singers, though. If Willow Treespeaker wishes to cast a heal light wounds spell, she sings a different song then my friend Alwyn would if she wanted to cast a heal light wounds spell. This makes for a great deal of variety in the music we hear, as no two spell singers can ever use the same song. Up to this point, no one has ever tried to capture the variety of spell songs there are out there, and create a record of them, so that everyone might get a chance to see the beautiful songs the spell singers use. That is what this collection is. I hope you enjoy.

Songs of Willow Treespeaker:

Heal Light Wounds

My spirit cries out on the field
To see that your light wounds are healed

Bless

Home be warm, none comfortless
I grant you my fairest bless

Shield

For fights about or on the field
Have my help with this mere shield

Songs of Squire Amra Asland al-Quadim:

Magic Armor

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
But Jill had magic armor.

Songs of Alwyn:

Magic Armor

Farmers lead a peaceful life
Tilling fields with little strife;
But you're a fighter, not a farmer
So I grant you magic armor.

Shield

Now the battle calls
To all the brave and true!
But since the danger will be great
This shield I grant to you.

If you are a spell singer and would like to contribute songs to this listing, we would very much appreciate it. Please contact Seronia, the librarian, by falcon at seronianero@yahoo.com for more information.
