A Timeline of Avendale

597 March: Lady Niomi Avendale resigns her position as Knight to Duchess Jane Monay of Evendarr, and travels to the northern reaches of the continent, just above the Duchy of Elysia, with an expedition of about two hundred. She is in search of her grandmothers heritage and to claim the lands her ancestor settled more than 100 years ago. Lady Niomi's dream - to be a sparkling jewel in Evendarr's Crown that makes her peers, her King, and her people proud.

597 May: The Ax and Bull Tavern, under the proprietorship of Tobias Armstrong also known as Poppa, named it’s Pasta with a Meat Gravy & Stuffing dish after Sir Bretton Nordenn, formerly of the Duchy of Ashbury - The Bretton Special.

597 May: Scintillating! Tantalizing! Scandalous! Got some gossip and nobody to tell it to? Whisper those sweet words in my ear and I'll tell no one the source but everyone the story. No lies wanted but sometimes the truth is relative my darlings. Love affairs? Hate affairs? Any affairs? I want to hear all about them! Backstabbing? Open betrayals? Say it's so and say it to me! If they don't want people to know, then I know people will want to read it. Talk to me in town or send me a letter. If it doesn't burn my fingers in time for the printing of the paper, I'll keep it warm for the next issue. You know I can. Miss Ravena, Freelance Columnist

597 September: Settlers are reporting a large number of goblins in the area. Reports indicate the goblins as more powerful and cunning as several settler encampments have been raided by the foul beasts. The Shaidu garrison repelled several attacks in a 3 day period with little rest between battles. Each time a report of goblin horde in an area the lady regent and her guard raced to the area, providing the necessary support to defeat the monsters.

597 September: The Obelisk and Healer's Guild Treasury was stolen by an Iron Golem which resembled Dark. Apparently he spiritwalked into the circle and stole the things by then spirit walking away. However, the strange weight and properties of the Obelisk had some effect on the Spirit Walk since a Formal Magic Spell caster of questionable demeanor came to town claiming to have seen the obelisk on some other plane he was traveling on. This caster then performed a Formal Magic Spell which sent himself, Guildmaster Velvrin, Guildmistress Aubrey, Balynthalis, Findarth, Sheriff Thorn, Squire Darius, and Squire Vaasa to this other plane to retrieve it. They were successful as the group rifted back near the Healer's Guild with the Obelisk being carried by a Storm Giant and a Frost Giant.

One of these men wore spectacles and a long suit of chainmail. These men have done nothing wrong. I merely wish to consult with them previous to gathering again. If anyone has information leading to their whereabouts, I ask that you please forward said information to me at the Regency. Thank you in advance for your assistance. 597 September: The Lady Death Report, By Igor Littlebrow, Feature Columnist
Welcome once more to the Lady Death Report citizens of Avendale. It had been two months since Lady Death was seen but as expected she rose again to horrify the townsfolk and spout her commentary to the world. At the last gathering she rose both nights but in addition to not being seen for two months there were other changes. This time she did not arise out near the Stone Circle across the river as she normally did, now she rose much closer in towards the town, near the graveyard. On the first night the adventurers of Avendale were attracted to her and her trailing undead by the high pitched scream that brings death in its wake. Konrad, who was still a Bone Golem at that time, walked in and stood toe to toe with her shrugging off her ability to slay any by her voice alone, protected by his golem form, to listen to what she had to say. She was as typical, defeated, but many life spells were needed to save those whom were slain in her wake. The second night she arose after the town returned from battling Gancis and though defeated again the town was more cautious about fighting her as they had just taken serious losses while ending the threat of Gancis and were depleted in their spells and worn out from heavy fighting within his tomb.

Let it be known throughout Avendale that Konrad Alfenwen, Algar Winterwind, and Kheldon Vassa Thrommel, all formally of Ashbury, have been named Squires of Avendale in service to its people and their new liege, the Lady Regent Niomi Avendale. They were chosen for their strength of heart and mind, their concern for the well being of Avendale's people, and their behavior exemplary of those who will one day serve as its nobility. To this end, they have sworn their allegiance to the Lady Regent and the people of Avendale and will serve alongside of Squires Darius Steele, Kittery Hollindarn, and Tavernier Septorian. Join me in congratulating them on these well deserved appointments. Chamberlain Malaget Sosei

597 September: The Avendale Mages’ Guild would like to welcome its newest member: Blaze Darkfire Ruinvorne Redbourne, Arch Wizard of Wrath and Retribution. Guildmaster Darien SteeleSong, Avendale Mages’ Guild.

597 October: The Avendale tavern was attacked by 2 Death Knights at 2am on Saturday Oct. 11th. Tobias Armstrong, also known as Poppa, was awakened by the attack and came out to save the adventurers who were beaten by these foul undead. Poppa had defeated one death knight but was taken down and killed just as the Sheriff, Thorn Baljar, arrived and defeated the last death knight with his Earth spells. All three victims were given life spells by the Sheriff.

597 October: A strange type of goblin wearing gold colored helms have been attacking Avendale at its surroundings for the last several weeks. The Shaidu Garrison have received a multitude of reports from citizens of Avendale that the goblins are stealing virtually every thing they can get there hands on. Nothing seems to be safe from the desires of these goblins as many reports of stolen weapons, armor and jewelry overwhelm the militia groups sworn to protect the lands of Avendale. The most notable occurrence caused Captain Douglas Shuyler of the Shaidu Garrison to order half of his patrol to climb trees while he and the remaining two troopers fought bravely to defeat the hordes that were attacking. The Captain reported that the goblins were tougher than the normal goblin, and that there basic strategy was to Pin an individual and then repeatedly attack that person until they are down. “It was horrible, I saw myself and the squad become surrounded, Pinned and then brought down by being pricked with their clawss. It seemed almost impossible to free myself from the Pin spells as the goblin casters would not move forward, instead allowing the fighter types to attack. And to make matters worse there were hundreds of them. If we hadn’t stayed together in a very tight group we all would have resurrected.”

598 January: Lost Soldiers found, Large encampment of Orcs found!

598 January: Liche Wanders into Tavern
The elemental meeting caused a calm around Avendale proper, preventing all within it’s border from fighting or even thinking of taking an offensive action against another. One such enemy of Avendale wandered into the tavern during the new years festivities. And no, it wasn’t Dark. Ramox the Liche strolled into the tavern with his two lackeys and proceeded to take part in the festivities. The Nobles of Avendale challenges Ramox and Jaereth of the Kabal multiple times to rumble outside the Tavern, but the Undead Abominations were to frightful to combat the heroes of Avendale. It was unknown why Ramox was here until an individual calling himself the Pantherghast Summoner arrived and began speaking with him and another cloaked individual outside. The conversation lasted for some time until both parties exited.

598 January: Troll Sightings Increase!
Troll sightings have increased over the last few months. Many trolls have been seen traveling through the forest. They actively avoid contact with all civilized races. Some patrols have attempted to pursue the trolls but they have all been relatively unsuccessful as the Trolls appear to slip into the very woods themselves.

598 March: The Glowing Spectral Eye was seen on Saturday night again, and remained in Avendale proper for quite some time. After making its normal rounds and looking at everyone within the town the ‘Evil Eye’ wandered off into the woods toward the cemetery and beyond. Several people spoke to the eye, a few ran from the area, and a few merely hid their face. The eye returned to Avendale proper and departed of its own volition shortly thereafter. Many people no one knows for sure bout origination of the eye although a very powerful Vampire named Denthur has claimed ownership. Douglas Shuyler has seen the eye several times. On Saturday Sir Konrad was overheard disciplining Warlock Marius after the Warlock informed the Evil Eye that he was going to ‘squash you like a bug’. Later that evening Denthur entered town with a Minotaur and an Orc and attacked the Were Creatures that were in the tavern.

598 April: Sir Darius Steele has moved into the Estate of Arundel, which he was quested to administer upon his coronation to Knight. He reveals plans for Desdarra Keep and its surrounding area - and begins to have built a Tavern, Soldiers Barracks, Horse Stables, an Estate Forge usable for Armor, Weapons, and all other purposes, a Healer's Circle of Power capable of resurrecting the dead, 2 separate farms, armory, and a town market square.

Our quest has been long and arduous. When we returned to Avendale with your supplies we were informed hat you had all moved to Wainsford. - Adonnis Bremen, Merchant Lord of Avendale

598 May: My wrath knows no bounds Tobias Armstrong. The Ax N Bull Tavern lacks security, and you lack protection. Sound Familiar? You should have never left the safety of The Boar and Grain in Evendarr. My kin shall be avenged!

598 June: Letter to the Editor, by Karveki, Grand Sorcerer of Brisbane
You who were blind to the kindness and fortune of the Grand Sorcerer shall meet with punishment. You have dared to attack our allies with the aid and guidance of the Were Beasts only to feel the wrath and punishment of my children. You have dared to violate my own crypt within the mountains of the Frost Giants and have felt no retribution as of yet. You dared to violate the Tomb of my son Fenric and his Adept and were easily defeated by a mere fraction of my resources. And so, after mercy was given, you dared to attack and harm my other son Randar in his own home. Mercy has been shown, now is the time for retribution and vengeance. Those who have harmed my child, Randar, so shall be harmed.

598 June: Kodiak Village Saved!

598 June: A private supporter of Avendale, some say from Evendarr City, has funded the opening of 'Tradewinds', the general store for farming equipment, household items, building supplies and a variety of other useful things needed to outfit the home.

598 June: Sir Darius Steele plants over 25 saplings in a clearing just outside of Avendale town proper.

599 March: Whisper In My Ear 3/599, By Miss Ravena, Freelance Columnist

599 May: Avendale Military defeats undead! Trooper Bart, a renown soldier in the Avendale military led an assault team into one set of caverns and followed a long tunnel for hundreds of yards, perhaps a mile or two, and came upon several traps blocking the path. With two rogues on his squad, Bart waited the few minutes it took to disarm the rope traps. Trooper Bart then led his men a few more yards into a large room, full of skeletons, a few mummies, and later what was seen to be several greater undead. Immediately Trooper Bart ordered a line of the men, and when beset upon by the skeletons, turned his troop right and fell back 20 feet. The Fall back maneuver allowed his rogues, who had hidden along the wall far the left and out of site, to come up from the back left and cause chaos within the skeletons. As always, the Trooper swung his trusty military line to the Left and fell back, tactically. 20 feet, swinging his right flank back an extra 10 feet. This maneuver protected the rogues and provided a guard against any new threats coming from the back of the undead horde. A few minutes of fighting and Trooper Bart were victorious against some 40 or 50 skeletons and 10 or 13 mummies, without a loss. The Trooper was forced to retreat when a few greater undead were seen coming forward from the depths of the catacombs, no doubt too powerful for his soldiers. Since his return Trooper Bart and the Avendale military have been working on plans to eradicate the undead from that set of caverns.

599 May: The Elementals are Back! The Elementals are back in Avendale and this time they aren’t concerned with any Elemental war, the book of dead, or shards of time. Several former Grand Sorcerers of Brisbane have returned in the forms of Elementals, and they have been asking a lot of questions about the caverns and underground passageways. Their inquiries have often led adventurers to descend into the depths of the catacombs, what they are calling the ruined buildings of the Arcane Seminary, the greatest scholarly library in Brisbane. The Elementals seem too weak or unable to cope with the entrances, obstacles, and monster races that have inhabited the underground labyrinth over the years. The Magistrate warns any who aid these Elemental beings to remain within the law, and to be weary, as they have an agenda all their own. The Elementals have been gifting adventurers who help them with ‘library passes’, evidently used to gain access to a magical library that grants one boon, in the form of the answer to a question, for each visitor.

599 May: Ravenholt City Falls into the Earth! Earth Tremors have caused the lovely city of Ravenholt, Evendarr to tumble into the natural underground caverns below its city. Many of the best dwarven builders claim the disaster on the large rock buildings and walls, especially the towers. The weight of such buildings, when caused to fall due to tremors, cause the grounds to split open as well, and ‘swallow’ the grounds and buildings, occupants and all.

599 May: Vendar reverts from Undead Monstrosity to Lord of Light! The recent changing of the passive Undead Minotaur named Vendar from a Lord of Darkness to a Lord of Light is rumored to have fulfilled one curse of the lands of the empire of Brisbane. . Will this help Avendale to ‘move’ the flow of time in a less devastating direction? Many of the Minotaur attacking the Wainsford area have begun killing their defeated, thus causing more resurrections of the Avendale military. Some say that because of the missing Minotaur herds in the area, the more aggressive ones are now free to reign and devastate the townsfolk.

599 May: Tremors in Avendale: Earth Tremors, occurring since the 10th of May 599, are the cause of many unsettling disturbances around the Kingdom of Avendale. Many of the goblin tribes have been raiding the local manors, taverns, and farms in the hopes to acquire some scraps of food, livestock or if they are lucky, the crafty critters will get a child. The tremors have caused many a whole in the ground, cave openings, and other like artifices to appear where once there were none before. Many groups, soldiers and adventurer alike, have entered these openings finding larger caverns, and in some instances a few very old buildings.
Evendarrian Cartographers Gotham, Gabor, and Grinch have spent the last few weeks searching through the ruined buildings and some of the ancient caverns. They claim that some of the buildings and caverns smack of Dwarven, Troll, Elven, and in some cases, human dwellings that may have been occupied over the last few decades. These same individuals have spent prior months researching other areas in Avendale, finding similar results. The caves and caverns appear to have been the housing for Dwarves and Trolls, perhaps living together but the buildings appear older, some 400 years older. The ruins have the characteristics of human and other race dwellings that may have sunk into the ground (or fallen) due to earth tremors, or even earthquakes, of the past, some 100 years ago.
After several excavation teams fled the lower part of the caves, the Avendale military arrived to aid in dispensing the apparent undead which were attempting to kill the miners. Trooper Bart, a well known and likeable fellow, led a mix of Avendale soldiers and adventurers into the lower areas only to find that goblins were in the caves and making noises in an attempt to scare off intruders. No amount of coercing or cooing could make the goblins move out of the caves. When the soldiers moved forward the goblins came forward and attacked with a flurry of claws and shaman spells, but to no avail, the goblin lost and were sent to resurrect.
Wainsford citizens have reported an influx of Miners, stone workers, farmers, Adventurers, and men-at-arms. It seems that the rumor of treasures deep within the mountains, the old ruins of the empire of Brisbane, and the growth of Avendale have caused many to believe there is opportunity here.
Several of the excavation groups found underground caverns, some caverns were catacombs of the dead, with spirits walking the earthen tunnels, destined to never see the light of day again.

599 May: Several Minotaur herds attacked the town this past month, devastating our adventurers and nobles. More aggressive than they had been in previous battles, the leaders of the three forces, Goblintooth Trounce, Tuskaton Frost, and Wild E. had instructed all of their warriors to kill the fallen of Avendale rather than first aid like there brethren had once done. Many local townsfolk think that an adventurer killed one or more of the Minotaur forces at a previous battles and that the Minotaur are showing retribution.

599 May: The Time Elementals responsible for restructuring the flow of time in and around Avendale have returned to give warning. When last they arrived they were working on correcting the flow of time around Sir Orion of Brisbane. Their appearance here was due to the tremors, and the availability that the Elemental influx would cause the Heroes Hall to be accessible for a few hours. The Heroes hall was seen last year when the Elementals were waging war with each other. Many of the former Grand Sorcerers of Brisbane were able to gain the powers of an Elemental or transform themselves into Elementals, no one knows for sure exactly how to become one. Several adventuring groups have aided the Time Elementals in moving the flow of time toward the path it was previously going, and with success. Many old tombs of Evendarr seem to depict multiple factions of each element, each with its own Council of lords. Several attempts to enlist the aid of soldiers by these Elementals has failed, as the soldiers are less adventurous than the adventurers that will no doubt arrive during the upcoming holiday weekend.

599 June: More Tremors in Avendale: Small Tremors around Avendale have been the cause of many unsettling disturbances around the Kingdom of Avendale. The tremors have been occurring since the 10th of May 599 and it hasn’t yet been determined for certain what the cause of them is. Gotham, Gabor and Grinch are three Evendarrian earth specialists, renown in their field. They have been investigating the earth tremors (not strong enough to be quakes – yet!) for the last several weeks and suggest that an underground river of Molten Lava has eaten away its retainer wall, (rock no doubt) and is now following its underground course. They speculate the stream of lava is running from the Northeastern tip of the Avendale near just above the frost peak mountains to the southwestern point of Avendale near the Hadran River. The tremors have caused many of the goblin tribes to raid the local manors, taverns, and farms in the area, hoping to acquire some scraps of food, garbage or livestock. The dukes suggest that everyone be careful, as the crafty critters will just as soon go after your child, or pet, as they will to ask you for ‘food’. The tremors have caused many a whole in the ground, cave openings, and other like artifices to appear where once there were none before. Many groups, soldiers and adventurer alike, have entered these openings finding larger caverns, and in some instances a few very old buildings. Once again the Evendarrian Cartographers Gotham, Gabor, and Grinch have spent some time in the last few weeks searching through the ruined buildings and some of the ancient caverns. They claim that some of the buildings and caverns smack of Dwarven, Troll, Elven, and in some cases, human workmanship. They speculate these dwellings may have been occupied over the last few decades, possibly for Dwarves and/or Trolls, perhaps living together. The buildings appear to be about 1400 years old, made of cut rock.

599 June: Gravediggers in Wainsford! The citizens of Wainsford should be aware and cautious of gravediggers in the area. Someone had apparently dug up one of the old graveyards of Brisbane. The Graveyard is estimated to be more than 800 years old, with the last burial being some 750 years ago. A troop of soldiers from the Avendale militia stumbled across the hole shortly after the last gathering of nobles. Upon further inspection it was noted by the soldiers that there was no body in the coffin. The gravestone, some 8 feet from the area, read ‘Gerald Ramirez, of Human blood’.

599 June: Town of Durgal in Myrr attacked by Ogre War party! Over the last few weeks several groups of Ogre war parties have been raiding deeply into Myrr. Until a few days ago the various groups have stuck to raiding smaller trade caravans making their way to and from the capital of Shakar, but that all change recently. A group by the name of Blue Claw led a direct assault against the town of Durgal. The casualties were heavy and many of the towns folks were captured and led away to the groups stronghold which rumors place somewhere in the western hills of the Hadran plains. No ransom has been brought forth yet from the group, but one is expected as a few of Durgals minor nobles that had been captured.

599 June: The Shire of Cyringel in Avendale revelaed. A Hobling known as Father recently revealed to the world at large that he in his possession a ritual scroll that when cast would create a stake of woe that would last five days. Cyringel, a Frost Peak Mountain Shire located near the territory of Avendale, until recently had been shrouded in mystery for the last couple of centuries. They have now revealed that they have access to several Brisbane scrolls. Brisbane, once a powerful empire in the north, famed for its wizards and powerful magic’s had created dozens of scrolls which they kept housed in a tower of pure ivory. Thought to have been lost for hundreds of years it now appears that father has access to some of these rare scrolls. He has invited any adventure seeking to battle the forces of the undead to approach his man, Aloryn Runeweaver and for a small fee they will be allowed to make a copy of this scroll. Interested parties should be prepared to supply their own components, which will allow them to make a one-year copy of this scroll.

599 June: Avendale Military defeats undead! Several former Grand Sorcerers of Brisbane have returned in the forms of Elementals, and they have been asking a lot of questions about some of the nearby caverns and underground passageways of Nebulonde. Their inquiries have often led adventurers to descend into the depths of the catacombs, into the ruined buildings of the Arcane Seminary of Brisbane, to search for information or books, with information. The Elementals seem too weak or unable to cope with the entrances, obstacles, and monster races that have inhabited the underground ‘labyrinth’ over the years. Also, two Fire Elementals were seen walking among the populace of Wainsford. They claim to be former mages from the time of Brisbane, but would offer no help in aiding the town in removing the Gypsy Curse of Brisbane. Likewise, these two Elementals were talking very openly about entering the Tower of Karveki, leading the poor soles who are foolish enough to follow them, into death and the graveyards. The Sheriffs of Avendale, House Asherton warn any who aid these Elemental beings to remain within the law, and to be weary, as they have an agenda all their own. The Elementals have been gifting adventurers who help them with ‘library passes’, evidently used to gain access to a magical library that grants one boon, in the form of the answer to a question, for each visitor.

599 June: For the past several months, and continuing, Wainsford citizens have reported an influx of Miners, stone workers, farmers, Adventurers, and men-at-arms. It seems that the rumor of treasures deep within the mountains, the old ruins of the empire of Brisbane, and increased living accommodations have caused many to venture into Avendale.

599 June: Rare Herbs and Plants in Wainsford. A pair of mages entered Wainsford this past gathering. They were looking for formal magic components, rare herbs, and other minerals, plants, and ingredients used in Magic Shops, Alchemy, Scroll, and Potion Labs. According to these individuals there are certain rare herbs, plants, and minerals in the Wainsford area that could prove very prosperous for those who are lucky enough to find them. Snake skins, pine cones, mushrooms, green plants, yellow flowers, beetles, twigs, silver knives, were all scrutinized by these gentlemen, finding formal component after formal component. They claimed they would be back, and were particularly interested in vanquishing all undead form the lands. No one thought to ask them their names.

599 June: Vampires Attack town!. Jacob Banner, the chamberlain of the Galenson Expedition, was seen walking amongst Wainsford toward the end of May. The Sheriff quickly became aware that they were Vampires, and attacked, attempting to get the jump. Unfortunately, the undead had allies hidden in the area, and they were able to defeat the Sheriff temporarily. When asked why he had come here, Jacob answered only that he would find his wife’s body. After some conversation, it was determined that Jacob was searching for Katherine Galenson’s body, which had been taken form its burial crypt by the group called Haven. According to Jacob, Haven took his love from her tomb unjustly, and he was seeking to find her body. It was Algar, Brentorin, Baylor, Sir Grom, Yuri, Tatianna, Severin, Sir Orion, Rowell Ka’taan, Skirge Blackfist, and Gird that Jacob was searching for. Eventually enough of the town came to the aid of the Sheriff, and the vampires were forced to leave the area.

599 June: Slavers from Niman in Wainsford! No sooner was this news reporter notified that Niman had an internal conflict than did we find a group of ruffians in the woods, trying to make a buck. They first captured James Macmourna and Perplexicaticus, but after finding very little on them, left them where they lay, and went after bigger fish, like Duke Ishidu. It seems the Duke was taken under the noses of his own court, all 8 of them! It cost 75 Gold pieces for the safe return of Duke Ishidu, but he lost his magic sword.

599 June: "Tradewinds is the general store for your general needs. Farming equipment, household items, building supplies and a variety of useful things. This is our one year anniversary in Avendale, so visit Tradewinds and ask us how to help equip your new enterprise."

599 June: Assassins Captured. A group of 4 rogues were tracked and approached by the Avendale Military on the 14th day of May, 599. The rogues all ignored the simple hale and made for deeper parts of the woods. Unfortunately for the rogues, the rangers were not going to be that easy to get away from, and they were all captured. Black and Purple hand kerchiefs were found on the men, clearly a link to the Duke of Niman’s personal retinue. After some research, the military determined that Sheriff Markus Asherton, and his right hand, Malikor, had captured Niman Slavers.

599 June: Trevelyn Manor burns to the ground! The modest home of Lord Kheldon Thrommel burnt to the ground on the night of May 15, 599. No one knows for sure where Kheldon Vassa-Thrommel is, but rumors have come in that he is living to the north, with the barbarian clans. The people of Trevelyn will miss Lord Kheldon greatly, he was always out fighting the undead, and genuinely cared about the folks on the estate. The estate had prospered greatly over the winter due to a letter for aid that Lord Kheldon had penned, and distributed to his acquaintances. Many a mercenary, and fellow adventurer have decided to vacate Trevelyn as well, going home to their Evendarrian, Niman, Rotaria, and Ravenholt cities. After Lord Kheldon’s manor was burned to the ground, undead began attacking the citizens of Trevelyn, and the militia was unable to stop it. A troop from the Shaidu Garrison has been temporarily stationed in Trevelyn to protect its citizens.

599 June: Time Elementals return to give warning. The Time Elementals responsible for restructuring the flow of time in and around Avendale have returned. When last they arrived they were working on correcting the flow of time around Sir Orion of Brisbane. Their appearance this time was due to the tremors, and the Heroes Hall would be again, accessible for a few hours. The Heroes hall was seen last year when the Elementals were waging war with each other. The Heroes Hall is full of people, dead and alive, from the past and the future. This appearance of the heroes hall brought many of the old heroes of Brisbane. The party raged on for 2 hours while the living met with the dead for purposes only the infamous Time Elemental who sometimes visits Avendale, could know. The Time Elemental’s name Celestor.

599 June: Undead City comes Alive! The city of undead has reared its ugly head again, this time to be struck down by the combined forces of Avendale. Our sources indicate that several adventurers stumbled upon the mightiest of all vampires, Grand Sorcerer Karveki, while in a meeting with five or six members of the Kabal and Dark, yes, Dark the Jester. Overhearing plans to enter Wainsford and kill many of the members of Westmarch and the citizens of Avendale, the adventurers alerted the local nobility, who gathered the forces of the town.
Meanwhile, the undead group came upon members of Westmarch in the woods but the group of agile court members were able to deftly dodge (Run Away!) any attempts at closing the gap of distance between them. Several Westmarch court members mentioned that as soon as they got close to the town proper the undead left them alone.
Lords Ishidu, Valerian, and Solomon and were overheard discussing military tactics including plans to take the ancient city of Talkoon from these undead. All of the leaders agree that is will take the most powerful individuals of Avendale to defeat these monstrosities as several of the last encounters with the inhabitants of the ruined city revealed a mass of greater undead.

599 July: A group of four Farmers recently journeyed to Wainsford, Avendale looking for a new place to call home. I ran into them in a friendly Tavern called the Axe n Bull, a chain of Tavern operated by Tobias Armstrong. The farmers were from the Duchy of Niman in the Nearby Kingdom of Evendarr. Back home they worked on a farm just outside of Coventry. The farm had about 10 slaves and other workers, such as indentured servants, and hired soldiers. According to these young farmers, the nobles of Niman were never around. They claimed that undead walk the lands after dark and if you are caught walking around past midnight in Niman, the undead hunt you! Having never seen an auction where the goods are people, I inquired more about slavery and the slave blocks of Niman. The response was not what I expected but knowing that the slave blocks are much cleaner in the Coventry area does make me feel a little better. In order to have clean slaves for the auction, they are all ordered to go swimming in the nearby lake. The farmers were quick to answer my questions. All of the races are sold as slaves in Niman. Some of the military types are sold into the slave military, to serve one year or one death. Often these troops are used to flush Trolls, Orcs, ogres, and such from the woods with little regard for their welfare, claiming that the life of the Lord is more important than the Soldier.

599 July: The infamous group known as the Harvest Moon has been sited in Ashbury, Ravenholt and now Volta. While in Ashbury they combined forces with former Ravenholt Elite Guardsmen Malcolm, whom Ashbans call the Rift Bringer. Together these two groups appeared unstoppable. They razed farms and set entire communities ablaze, resurrecting hundreds of commoners during there several week trek across Ashbury. In Ravenholt they were spotted by several patrols and were given chase. The Harvest Moon turned out more resourceful than the patrols had thought. After 30 minutes of continued chase the patrol was decimated by explosive traps and all 20 soldiers resurrected.. The Ravenholt military was better prepared to pressure the harvest moon as there was more than usual travel around Ravenholt since the end of the Sessaur war. Although casualties were great the harvest moon departed Ravenholt for another land and reports indicate an undead horde is moving toward Blackhawk Valley. Many appeared undead and there was at least one iron Golem with them.

599 July: Late on Saturday night two dog-beasts entered Wainsford. The dog-beasts mission became apparent when they began sensing magical weapons and items on townsfolk. Once detecting a magical weapon or item the dog beast attacked the townsfolk and attempted to take the item. The town attacked the dog-beasts but there weapon blows did minimal damage against him and spells seemed to be ignored. The dog beasts repeatedly took magic weapons from the townsfolk and some reports indicate that attempts were made to capture Lord Hansen from Ashbury, Evendarr. Reportedly there were three magic weapons that were taken by the dog-beasts and they were brought back to there master, Karveki the Vampire who was waiting in the woods behind the tavern and to the right, where a circle of power has been erected and apparently permitted to remain as the Avendale townsfolk fearful of his retribution should they destroy the circle. That glowing spectral eye arrived at the same time the dog-beasts did perhaps signifying a link between the eye and Karveki’s minions appearance. The eye seemed to be searching for someone or something, not staying to listen to townsfolk as it most often did. After traveling through town for some 20 minutes the eye came upon Brentorin and Algar, hovered there for several seconds, then disappeared. Some time later, Karveki was seen near the tavern with a dog-beast and turned gaseous to wander the town, again apparently in search of someone. Karveki did not attack or kill anyone while in town although he did warn us that we would pay for the attacks on his children the gathering prior.

599 July: A Giant attacked the town on Friday with several undead, living ogres, and giants. The giant appeared to be in search of ogres and Orcs, finally becoming frustrated and demanding Sammy, Orion, Graak, and Grindash to step forward for capture. The town threw itself at this monstrosity that could only be an undead. Damage appeared to bounce off unless it was Slay oriented. When Sammy and Sir Tavernia attempted to slay the giant it nimbly jumped aside, whether by ability or magic item know one knew. T’ylania, once squire candidate to Baroness Niomi, an elf, reportedly resurrected during the confrontation.. At one time during the battle, Baroness Niomi was down behind the enemy lines. The town rallied and attacked there adversaries while a contingency of Biata, loyal to Avendale melded into the darkness to appear next to Niomi with life spell at the ready. The cries of battle were heard as Kelsea gifted the baroness with a life spell as the small Biata contingency, with friends, jumped between her and the enemy to allow enough time for her to regroup with the people of Avendale. The Biata were able to defend themselves, with Niomi, who would not leave there side, as they retreated backward and around the battle area and back to place where the townsfolk. Many people were down at one point, Sir Tivorak was saved by Sir Darius Steele. Then just as quickly as they had arrived, the enemy departed, evidently with Orion who walked back into town some thirty minutes later.

599 July: Several Knights from the Kingdom of Evendarr were seen traveling around Avendale this past month. Sir Tivorak Nobel and Sir Jericho the Just arrived just as a Giant was attacking the town, searching for Ogres and Orcs. Dressed in there white and black checker tabards with the horse on front, they claim to be on an information seeking mission but wouldn’t specify exactly what information they were seeking. None the less, these gentlemen were seen traveling about Wainsford and Avendale speaking with Noble and Commoner alike. Several Nobles have stated that the Knights are evaluating the residents of Avendale for the King of Evendarr to consider Avendale joining the Kingdom of Evendarr.

599 July: A small pack of death Elementals entered Wainsford and attempted to kill Lord Morlox Nightshade of the Duchy of Ashbury, Evendarr. The group attacked without hesitation and almost succeeded in placing a circle up around the dead body of Lord Morlox. Luckily for Lord Morlox though, the representation of the circle was broken by his friends and comrades.

599 July: Kelsea Vardik resigns as New Homes' Ambassador to Avendale citing her continued allegiance to her homeland in the Duchy of Ashbury in the Kingdom of Evendarr.

599 September: Duke Nicademus re-opened his borders to visitors and the Evendarrian Inspectors. Likewise, the requirement to carry papers was suppressed for 30 days! The messenger guilds reported an increase in the number of messages sent outside Niman, almost immediately. Many Travelers have begun to arrive in Niman’s capital, Coventry, from the lands surrounding Niman including Quentari, Evendarr, Ashbury, Volta, Ravenholt, and even Myrr (hoping to find their shanghaied families among the slaves no doubt!). Several Dark Elves attacked a group of Niman Noblewomen to ‘free’ one of their slaves, and then promptly disappeared. Several retired adventurers made an attack on the slave blocks to free their children from being sold into slavery. A large group of undead was seen traveling through Elysia, from Avendale, toward Niman. How many Elven slaves can there be! There are barbarian slaves too!

599 October: Border Skirmish. With the fall of the first Colanta, Gancis, many of the creatures of the area have taken a step back to reconsider how to deal with the settlers o Avendale. The Gnolls are in full retreat after the fall of their leader, the undead lord Gancis. However the Minotaur, the Orcs, and the Ogres gather to hold their land from the "invading humans". As the Lady Regent pushes her borders outward toward the Maul Hills resistance by the Orcs who make those hills their home is sure to grow. And what are those strange new breed of Goblin seen around town? And there are the glowing eyes of the Darklings seen deep within the Broken Wood.

600 March: Tradewinds, the mercantile store with just about everything Avendale people could need, has expanded with a new store, Tradewinds II, located in city Wainsford Proper. This comfortable little manor house store has many of the items needed by any family to grow and expand their household. If Tradewinds doesn't have it, they can get it.

Should anyone be schooled properly in it's care, be linked to the stone, and wish to bear it, please find me. This is a weapon of great honor and glory to our people and as such should not belong to one person, but to all of our people. -- Kaylin Laone"

600 June: Yonin, a resident of New Home, placed this message upon the Community Kiosk in the Central Market Square. "Kaylin Laone, may your heart remain true to your words. The words you have written for all to see is truly what Stoneholder represents. I for one, am proud to see one such as yourself wielding it - Not for yourself but for your people, not as its owner but as its caretaker. -- Yonin"

600 October: Shaidu Garrison Report, By Captain Douglas Shuyler

600 November: Undead Poet Society Spirits Laid to Rest!

600 November: Mystic Wood Elves Sightings increased tremendously this past month. Several patrols of the Shaidu garrison and the Avendale Military have reported small groups of Mystic Wood Elves exiting the Shimmerglen forest. They groups which exited were all warrior types and they asked for aid from the soldiers and adventurers they came upon. Many went on small adventures to stop Dark Elves from Nebulonde from hunting them.

600 November: Evendarrian Soldiers going home! After 2 years of loyal service in the lands of Avendale, the 33rd Evendarrian Infantry is going home. Many of the soldiers are going to re-enlist after the mandatory 6 month rest and relaxation period has passed. Of the fifteen hundred soldiers in the legion, there were only ninety soldiers who died once and one soldier who died twice. No permanent deaths were encountered.

600 November: Elemental ‘Keys’ found! The Shaidu was given a copy of a large map that was found in the ruins of an old Brisbane town. The map contained the locations of the places that the Brisbane mages called the Arcane Seminary and The Chroniclers. Though several of the places were located, there were no magical properties found or magical chroniclers as several adventures described. At one location there were several magical ‘keys’ found, similar to ward keys. After examination it was determined that the keys are used to enter the secret lair of the chroniclers so that info can be both given and learned. The Shaidu Garrison is offering 2 Gold for each Elemental Key returned to them.

601 March: The estate of Arundel had a major setback at the Desdarra Keep Apple Orchards planted by Sir Darius Steele in 598 ER when they were destroyed by severe thunderstorms this month. Sir Darius Steele had built a farm and planted the orchard saplings in the summer of 598 ER upon his return from Wainsford Keep in Evendarr City.

601 April: A tall gypsy with brown hair named Vargas was seen carrying two swords of immense coloration, the very swords known to many as the Gypsy Swords of Striking. The Swords, it is rumored can aid its wielder by placing a Magic Aura upon every blow, and can spell strike Death 3 times per day. Other rumors, though few believe it, say that it can effect Justin Brisbane and will send him to the Graveyard of the Four winds. at one time, Rohan, a short dark skinned Gypsy was seen with one of the swords, though which sword it was and how long he kept it is unknown.

601 April: Beware Gypsies of Avendale! The ancient Spirit of Justin Brisbane rose from the dead months ago, when adventurers entered his crypt and awakened his unrested spirit. As Prophesized, Justin Brisbane has risen from the dead to haunt the living and kill gypsies until his spirit is freed from its quest. Justin Brisbane ruled as emperor of Brisbane some 1600 years ago, when the lands of Endarr, Greymoor, Nevis and Sardonia (now the Kingdom of Evendarr) ruled most of the East Coast of Avalon.

601 April: Who Will Die, Justin Brisbane or the Gypsies of Avendale?, By Gregory Ramirez
Justin Brisbane, once emperor of the Empire of Brisbane, is still at large attempting to resurrect humans of the Gypsy Culture. Our history details Justin as an unsympathetic murderer who attempted genocide on the Gypsies of the Empire of Brisbane over 1500 years ago. Because there were so many Gypsies within the Caravans and settlers of Brisbane, many of the most influential families of Brisbane increased in gypsy culture through marriages and the newly born children of the mixed couples. When Brisbane settled for the first time, Clan Ramirez was about 90% Human and 10% Gypsy, Clan Calis was about 80% Human and 20% Gypsy, Clan Ravaloch was about 70% Human and 20% Gypsy, and Brisbane was 60% human and 40% gypsy. At the time when Justin Brisbane went insane (352 BR), Clan Ramirez was about 40% Human and 60% Gypsy, Clan Calis was about 50% Human and 50% Gypsy, Clan Ravaloch was about 20% Human and 80% Gypsy, and Brisbane was 50% human and 50%. If not for the other clans, and the other races, Justin might have succeeded in his attempts to kill every gypsy. The Pantherghasts began to kill our people in all the major towns. Hundreds of deaths were taken before we fled to the hills, caves, and valleys, eventually traveling to lands outside of Brisbane, where the spectral creatures were not. Years have passed, much of the old time has been forgotten, though we still tell the tales to our children of this time. And now the truth comes out, that Justin Brisbane had directed the death of his own people. And he is back from the dead, awakened by the settlers of the Avendale Expedition, to kill us again. Unite Gypsies, and defeat our enemy!

601 April: The Hounds of Malice Come for Malcolm. The people of Wainsford were awakened Sunday morning to a frightening sound, a baleful howling sound made by a wolf or some similar creature. The source became apparent as four large hounds, mottled grey and white, with red eyes, came loping into the town proper from behind The Axe 'n Bull Tavern. One frightened onlooker threw a gas globe at one, but it had no effect on the creature, which barely took notice of the attack. The pack moved quickly about the town, sniffing many a startled passerby, and making their way into the tavern. Though they did not attack anyone, they were able to magically detect magic’s on people, and became quite agitated at anyone who had anything magical or magic’s cast on their person. Eyewitnesses later reported that the hounds may have been looking for a magical scroll, and that the hounds growling sounded suspiciously like "Malcolm". Many people speculated that the hounds were after Malcolm because he used the Scroll of Retribution, one of the nine fabled Scrolls of Malice, which are rumored to summon creatures of immense power to do the bidding of the Scroll Bearer. The hounds finished sniffing around, and perhaps somewhat queasy after sniffing many of the residents, disappeared into the woods from which they had come.

601 April: The Scrolls and Hounds of Malice: By Douglas Shuyler, Captain in the Shaidu Garrison
The magical Hounds of Malice entered Wainsford proper at about 11am on Sunday March 25, 601, and began sniffing everyone. It didn’t take long to learn they were looking for The Scrolls of Malice. Malcolm alledgedly carries the Scroll of Retribution, and is hunted by the Hounds of Malice each time he uses the Scroll. The Scroll Keeper, a servant of Malice, appears every once in awhile as well, according to Ravenholt adventurers, who provided most of this information.
The Magical Scrolls allow the Creatures of the Elements to be summoned for aid, when needed. Malice was a great arch-wizard who used these creatures to defeat powerful adversaries like Vampires, Liches, Fey, Necromancers, Generals, and Knights. Through the years, adventurers and enemies of Malice have been able to duplicate these scrolls, and utilize their powers to summon the creatures. None have reported seeing Malcolm use the Scroll, either in Avendale or Afar. Anyone with Information as to if they scroll exists should contact the Shaidu garrison with any information. We thank the Royal Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences of the Kingdom of Evendarr for this information.

601 April: The Desdarra Keep Apple Orchards that were destroyed last month by thunderstorms have begun to sprout new leaves. Sir Darius Steele planted the Orchards in midsummer 598 ER using tree saplings secured during a trip to Wainsford Keep in Evendarr. The trees were thought to have been destroyed when Arundel was hit by severe thunderstorms months ago and they lost all thier leaves and had been knocked over. The work of the farmers to save the trees evidently worked as they have begun to sprout more leaves. Sir Darius Steele had built a farm and planted the orchard saplings in the summer of 598 ER upon his return from Wainsford Keep in Evendarr City.

601 April: Fey Orb of Elements Stolen. Last seen by archeologist Arthur Barrak on March 20, 601, it was stolen from a wagon on the border of the Elysia and Avendale. Arthur retrieved the orb from a city that had fallen beneath the ground, about 20 miles North of Wainsford. Magical, with each of the elements detected and multiple spirits, professor Barrak was traveling back to the Royal Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences in Evendarr to research it. The Orb is about 8 inches round, White on one side, black on the other. The White area has a swirl of Black within. Two Magic items with 3 effects per day each and lasting one year, 25 gold, and 5 power components will be rewarded to whomever returns the Orb. No Questions will be asked. Contact Professor Barrak at the Shaidu Garrison outpost in Wainsford City.

601 May: To the Dark Elves of Nebulonde and the Clanless others: If you step within our path while we are acquiring the Sword of Seppuku, your punishment shall be swift, painful, and final. Darkness

601 May: Weapons of the Races appear!
According to the Royal Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences of Evendarr, there are many weapons, Wands, Staves, Rods, and other items befitting a certain race, that were created between 500 and 2000 years ago, prior to the great celestial changes which shook the world of Magic. Many of these Artifacts were created by the Mages of Brisbane, when they were strongest.
Malcolm spoke of over half a dozen Gypsy Swords, each with their own names, that might be available to the Gypsy people living on the continent of Avalon. When asked, Malcolm explained that he had had a tiff with the Gypsies within the last few years, but that he had resolved his issues with them, and now his allies, Order Elementals, hired him to complete a few tasks that involved aiding the gypsies.

601 May: Gypsy Swords of Striking Resurface! By Theodore Francavich, freelance writer
The Adventurer Malcolm and his comrade Artan have resurfaced with the Gypsy Swords again, and this time they have given one sword to Elaine Ramirez. Speaking to several Gypsies, Malcolm and Artan reiterated the requirements to carry one of the gypsy swords. The bearer must be kind and understanding, and able to maintain a unity of all the Gypsy Clans. To uphold the meaning of the sword, similar to the Avendale Code of Chivalry and Customs – to give of themselves without request for recompense, for it is certain that allies, acquaintances, and those who know the meaning of the Sword will seek aid and support from those who carry them. The Swords have symbolized support and unity to the Gypsy clan leaders since they were created. According to legends, adversaries have risen against the Gypsy clans and the united forces of the Sword bearers, and their allies defeated them.

601 May: To Her Majesty Niomi Avendale: The time has come for me to defeat your Expedition and bring you into the family. Your ancestor, Katherine, was far easier to dispatch, especially after gifting Jacob with immortality, though the bargain with the Marauders cost me dearly. Your soldiers have disturbed my slumber too often and mine own children whom are forced gaseous who come home. The time has come for you to feel my wrath, and for you to stop your attacks upon my strongholds and children. Karveki

601 May: Elaine Ramirez: Know Daughter, That I shall Come for You Again, in June. You escaped my wrath, and the inevitable transformation, as did your Queen. Join your heritage, and live forever – with us. Karveki

601 May: Adventurer James of the Court of Brisbane: You dare strike me! Lest you forget that I struck you down upon the battlefield with thine most powerful swings, draining your life while cutting through your skin. You fell before my might as did you brethren soldiers, as will your adventurer comrades. Your Vengeance may have forced me to my gaseous form, but my children caused much havoc among your townsfolk - getting revenge for your actions. I will come for you in June – when the moon shines high in the night my children shall feast and I shall gain another child. Grand Sorcerer Karveki

601 June: Malcolm and the Scroll of Retribution, by Xavier - a traveling companion of Malcolm

601 June: Queen Niomi Avendale is killed permanently in an attack by the Vampire Karveki and his minions. The Registrar, whom others call Death or the Reaper and so many other names is robbed of Niomi's spirit as the Nobles of Avendale use an ancient magic revealed to the possessors of the lands Racial Weapons, which are said to be linked directly with Tyrra, to bring her back to the land of the living. Using three of the Racial Artifacts and an elemental key, the adventurers opened a portal to the Registrar's Hall, and were able to retrieve Niomi Avendale before her spirit moved to the Heroes Graveyard. Marcos of Checkmate wielded the Hobling Sword known as Thunderstorm, Cortellas held the Dwarven Hammer of Light , and Avery Runeweaver used the Gypsy Sword of Striking, to open the Gate to Death's domain. Some sort of negotiation occurred that none would talk about, though it is said that the Registrar took one death from each of the three with the Artifacts to allow Niomi to return for no more than 12 months or her next death.

601 June: Lizard Scavengers seen within Avendale!

601 June: Order Pylons cause confrontation between Squire Tyconius and Malcolm the Riftbringer
On Saturday Night Malcolm entered Wainsford, and one of the first sites he encountered was Squire Tyconius, with three Order Pylons around his neck. Malcolm asked Tyconius how he had gotten the Order Pylons and evidently didn’t like the answer - they were confiscated by the Nobles to make sure none of them were lost. This caused a small confrontation to occur between several members of the Court of Brisbane and Malcolm who declared that no two Gems should be held by the same person for fear that it will attract too much attention. Malcolm was quoted by many people as saying “And so I am reminded how the Nobles of a land can oppress its people, using their responsibilities as the reason.” The Order Pylons were given back to their 'Guardians' as Malcolm called them.

601 July: This letter was found upon the wall of the Ax N Bull Tavern in Wainsford City. "Avery Runeweaver, May your wedding bring you happiness and joy. Unfortunately, we cannot have you bringing any Runeweaver monstrosities to this plane, though watching the pain and agony of your wife’s death would be satisfying when the Curse of the Runeweaver strikes, as she gives birth to a monstrosity instead of a living mortal – the result of your grandfather departing the graveyard of the four winds, where he belongs. Know now that you shall face my wrath, and that I shall kill your wife if she becomes pregnant. – Hous"

601 July: To the people of the Lands of Avendale: Your presence in the lands of Brisbane is welcomed, may your settlement prosper under the guidance of Her Majesty Queen Niomi Avendale, descendant of Dame Katherine Galenson of the lands known as the Kingdom of Evendarr. Beware the hounds of Malice, they can decimate an entire city – as they did in Ravenholt city, when I sent them against Malcolm, then called Gold, when he summoned my brethren to do his bidding. The Scroll of Retribution must be returned to the Hounds by the end of May, 601, or they shall be let loose upon the City’s populace! Malice, Creator of the Scrolls of Retribution.

601 July: With former Emperor Justin Brisbane laid to rest, again, all of Avendale noticed a significant decrease in undead attacks, and fewer resources were needed to maintain the Avendale Soldiers.

601 August: The two generals of the Calequendi, K'Rinda AutumnLeaf (female) and General Silmaron SilverBark (male) are often seen speaking with Baroness Kittery Ann Holindarn, reporting what has recently transpired. The Calequendi and Lions of Ramdal have split up across the forest and are currently holding 8 gates, keeping Fae creatures from coming out and overrunning the forest. There is also a large group of Calequendi with the refugee camp, protecting the commoners. A young Calequendi woman lured the Fae into Castle Clearbrook, the traps exploded and 150 Fae creatures were killed...so was the Calequendi woman, and though she resurrected, she is still skittish and moves stiffly, as if in remembered pain. There were once 9 Gates but with the help of Nehvarr of Trellheim and Lieutenant Sasha, the gate was collapsed during the last gathering in Wainsford. There are a few small groups of Fae that are running around the Silvermyst forest.

601 August: The Lord of the Haunted Wood ceased his attacks upon the Silvermyst forest for reasons unknown.

601 August: Baroness Kittery Holindarn reestablishes an Earth Circle in the Silvermyst forest as resurrection points so townspeople and soldiers don't have to travel so far to resurrect.

601 September: To Those Who Love Avendale, by Baroness Kittery Ann Holindarn

601 September: Malcolm: We routed your scorpion friends, and your barbarian friends. Our wrath you will feel, a thirst for the blood of your kin. We will avenge our brethren whom you destroyed, regardless of who you hire for protection. You cannot hide; Karveki has proven that the Elementals can be defeated. Goliath

601 September: The Estate of Arundel enjoyed a celebration this month when the grain fields that were started years ago by Darius Steel once again produced double the expected harvest. The celebration was enjoyed by all, with bread and ale passed around freely for a weekend. The Avalancher Dwarves, well known in Arundel, donated one of their finest kegs of Dwarven ale to the party.

601 September: On Sunday morning, September 23rd 601, Justin Brisbane organized an expedition to the plane of Destruction to kill Destruction Elementals. Justin Brisbane was formerly part of the curse on the Brisbane Empire, which was in the same area as what we now call Avendale. After he was brought back to life, he has been seen in Wainsford on several occasions trying to help the people of Avendale to reclaim the level of civilization that Brisbane once was.
Justin gathered the group of about eight individuals on Sunday morning, and informed them of their mission, chances of success and what he knew about the situation. The time was chosen carefully, as Ramox, a powerful Destruction Elemental and enemy to Avendale, would be otherwise occupied when the adventurers were gated to the plane. Because of the strength of this type of elemental and the dangers involved, Justin personally selected those who were to go. Justin also renewed several of the group and bestowed temporary transformations upon two of those who were going to help them overcome the elementals.
Those who went were immediately beset upon by 5 Destruction Elementals. Destruction Elementals can only be affected by normal weapons, and even they will only scratch their warped hides except in the case of mighty blows. Elemental damage, such as that generated by Cantrip Spells, will also fully affect them. They have the ability to shatter and destroy items, as well as being physically very strong. These elementals were powerful, but the normal weapons that were brought were Rendered through Cantrip Magic Spells in the preparations previous to the group's departure. Still, there are few warriors in the lands of Avendale that have powerful swings of the type that were needed to fell the beasts, and the adventurers retreated after the first waves, having not succeeded in killing even one.
The group refitted and realized that they had left a member behind, and thus entered the gate again, even though they knew they might not make it back to Tyrra alive. This time, in a strength brought by desperation, they fought and killed three of the five elementals, and retrieved their comrade. A circle was made and several of the group were forced to Spirit Walk out of the plane, while the rest retreated safely out of the gate.
Though the permanent deaths of three of five Destruction Elementals may not seem to be of great import, each elemental was created by Ramox of the Kabal or by his allies. These elementals cost their forces a considerable amount of resources, and were a danger to Avendale and the surrounding lands. They were not banished, and will not return to Tyrra, instead they were completely destroyed. This event marks the first time that such a feat has been performed in Avendale, and hopefully not the last.

601 November: The Dangers of Frost Lake

601 November: War with the Vlay. In late September, diplomatic relations with the Vlay, a race of amphibians that live under the Frost Lake, came to a head. Senex, the Ambassador of the Vlay, led a group of adventurers including Ta’Wane, Kelra, Sebastian of Calvert, Baron Algorian, Fujiwara Michiko, Garion, and Orion the Weasel. The adventurers met with KaReen, one of the leaders of the Vlay people (called a Terrendus). KaReen demanded that Avendale give her a set of formal magic scrolls and components as tribute or she will make war with the surface races. She gave Avendale until noon on Sunday to decide what their fate shall be.
On Sunday, Senex returned to the field and was hastily cut down by Nehvarr Breezerunner. Senex was dragged before the Viscount Tavernier Septorian and healed. The Viscount apologized for the hasty actions of his people and offered Senex a formal magic component as compensation. The Viscount eloquently declared that the people of Avendale would gladly ally themselves with the Vlay, though they would not pay tribute and acknowledge the Vlay as the higher race. Senex took this message back to his leaders and has not been seen in Wainsford since.

601 November: Werewolf Pack Sighted. There have been scattered sightings of werewolves in many of the Brisbanian estates. Though they’ve been non-hostile, people are very nervous hearing about werewolves amongst their midst. A few gatherings ago, the Silvertooth pack of Werewolves had a brief encounter with the Barony of Brisbane in which Baron Algorian promised that his people do not ally themselves in any way with undead or the forces of Nercromancy. Rumor has it that the Silvertooth Pack is inspecting the Barony of Brisbane to see how close the good Baron follows his promise.

At least 2 dozens spirit cradles have been destroyed by the nobles and adventurers of Avendale over the past 5 years, with more being destroyed as each month passes. His Excellency, Tavernier Aldraec Spetorian accepted his oaths as Ruler of Avendale in a small ceremony on Saturday Evening, November 3rd, 601 Evendarr Reckoning.

602 April: Scorpion King Lair Found!
The Saidu Garrison has reported a lair of scorpion scavengers, led by a gigantic scorpion with Dragon Magic like abilities, and a scorpion scavenger guard. Joshua, the scorpion lair guard, entered Avendale at 10 PM and was captured in fifteen minutes by a Saidu patrol. Explaining that he was on a mission to find Nevarr, Avery, Shi-Nimuri, or Tatania, he had been quickly spotted by the patrol and surrounded. “How could you miss six giant scorpions walking through the woods? We didn’t.” stated Trooper Brian Thorenson when we were discussing the occurrence with him. Unable to find his quarry, Joshua and his brethren departed Wainsford with intentions to return in May after the next mating cycle.
Earlier in the day on Saturday, Nevarr had led a team of adventurers to the ruins found north of Wainsford, past the lands where large herds of minotaur had been seen roaming. They encountered Minotaur packs along the way and many giant scorpions attacked within the ruins. One building that was discovered stood apart from the rest in that it was in pristine condition unlike all the other buildings from the great empire of Brisbane. Encountering the first scavenger guard, Joshua, and ten giant scorpions, the adventurers attacked with ferocity and continued their trek of searching the ruins. Through a passageway leading down from the basement of a decrepit building, they then encountered the gigantic scorpion, named Vardis Sanddune, who Joshua referred to as the king of scorpions. Awaiting them in a permanent circle of power, Vardis summoned scorpion minions from Tyrra itself and sent them to attack the adventurers. Unable to get into the Circle of Power, and unable to pass beyond the scorpions Vardis had summoned, the adventurers were forced to parlay with him.

602 May: Giant Scorpion Visits Avendale
On Sunday just after the noon hour, a pair of Scorpion Scavengers, guarded by a pair of Spider Scavengers, entered Wainsford, to invite its neighbors to a party in July held in their honor, to welcome us to the neighborhood. Vardis Sandune, the King of the Scorpions, entered town with his captain of the Guard, a Scorpion named Joshua, and two giant spider guards. After inviting the townsfolk to the party, they went on to look for Nevarr and Avery, who, when traveling with Xylon, Titania, Dale Connors and a few others, apparently made a deal to trade a magic item delimited to the Elven race for several Biata, Sarr, and Hoblings.

603 June: Avendale City, having been abandoned by the former Baronial Court of the Ashertons, has begun its slide into ruin. In order to route the decay of the city, the nobles call a gathering. Numerous people arrive in Avendale City to find it overrun with thieves, monsters, and controlled by three merchant-lords: Adonis Breeman, Cedric Alacoor, and Mykel Faramoor. The merchant lords have hired many mercinaries to keep "order" in the city, though this order is fairly biased, to say the least.

603 June: In the North of Galenson, Tarsus Nightspear, a huge orc who is said to have Giant's blood in him, has rallied the orc, troll, and lizardman populations which up until now have been peaceful. Inciting them with fury, he leads them south to unleash their rage on the relatively unprotected Galenson. The main prong of his assault arrives on Sunday of the adventurer's gathering. Losses are great on both sides, but Tarsus Nightspear suffers a death. Tarsus' army withdraws as the Shaidu Garrison moves into a flanking position.

603 June: Tarsus' Letter to Avendale, by Tarsus Knightspear

603 July: Another gathering in Avendale City attempts to return order to the once crown jewel of Avendale. Many ancient Brisbanian tombs have been disturbed by forces unknown, and the undead are responsible for both routing Tarsus Nightspear's approaching forces, and terrorizing Avendale City. After a bloody battle, Tarsus finally takes the field again, but is cut down by the collective forces of Avendale, Dinsdale, Myanthea, and Ravenholt.

603 August: A third gathering is called by the nobles to try and solve the many problems of Avendale City. Mykel Faramoor is revealed to be a slaver and is arrested. Cedric Alacoor is found to be involved in many illegal dealings and is arrested. Tarsus Nightspear vows to take Avendale City or suffer his final death. He takes a tour of Avendale City under a white flag to view the area he says he is about to conquer. On Sunday, the remnants of his army arrive and are defeated, and Tarsus suffers his final death. Many rejoice as Avendale City is finally safe again, saved from both monster and merchant.

603 August: Avendale City Saved By Nobles and Adventurers, By Anton Dressari
As smoke rose up from Tarsus Nightspear's body, Avendale City breathed a quiet sigh of relief. With the Troll general dead, and two of the three
merchant lords arrested, it was time to start rebuilding.
Adventurers leaving Avendale city after the gathering found themselves delayed by commoners. The once cynical and jaded populace, embittered
towards crown and kingdom, now approaches their heroes with what goods they can spare - sacks of vegetables, good cuts of meat, vouchers for free cobble work, flasks of wine and beer - these are thrust into adventurer's hands with wide grins and an exasperated Thank You for Saving Our City.
After Tarsus' death on the field, the monstrous armies found themselves routed, demoralized, and fleeing for the wild. As he wished, Tarsus
died a hero to the monsters, but without his leadership, the fear of death gripped them again. Perhaps it was his Giant's blood, perhaps it was just his
charisma, but in either case, Tarsus was gone and with him their hope.
Travelers in the woods outside of Avendale City found hastily abandoned campsites, footprints leading into thickets, and a sense of peace that
the woods outside of Avendale City has not had in some time.
Free trade commences again for many in Avendale City. Without Cedric Alacoor and Mykel Faramore, much of the populous could call themselves self-employed again, not having any suffocating contracts to bind them. There are some of us in Avendale who know Master Merchantlord Adonis Breeman chuckles to himself, his competitors eliminated.
The sun sets on Avendale City and with it comes relaxation. It is the first rest, the first good night's sleep many people have had in a year. Any
adventurer that walks into a tavern is bought more drinks than he can stomach. "Well let's hear it then, how'd you all do it?" asks the
bartender.
And finally, as the sun rises on Avendale City on Monday, Business As Usual commenced, as if the last few months have just been a great big nightmare that everyone had woken up from and that Things Are Good again.

603 September: Adonis Breeman killed while visiting Greystone City! by Salee Parknat. One of the merchant lords of Avendale that is more commonly seen in Wainsford City, Adonis Breeman, resurrected in his home city of Wainsford on Sunday afternoon on the 21st day of September, 603ER. When asked what happened by the healers of the guild he responded that the last thing he remembered was entering the outskirts of Greystone, on his way to his first meeting that morning, though with whom he would not say.

603 September: Karveki reared his undead abominations against the Shaidu Garrison stationed in Greystone, in what many say was retaliation for the death of at least a dozen vampire children of his at the hands of Adventurers over the last 3 month in and around the kingdom.

603 October: No one knows if Karveki will go Trick or Treating in Greystone this year, as Halloween fast approaches. In past years, Karveki has brought his children to the City, to trick or treat with his children, often teaching them manners. in the last year, the Marauders came and took some hearty adventurers but with the aid of other, previously trapped hound, the townsfolk were able to rescue the townsfolk from the planet of the hounds themselves, where they are just mere Gnolls (Dog Beasts) with claws, but where no spell books or weapon of iron exit to be used against them. Traditionally Karveki has not attacked anyone while trick or treating with his children even when confronted by Baroness Kittery Ann, Sir Yngar Holindarn, or Sir Konrad Alphenwen, whom all participated in staking him once. The Shaidu garrison is preparing for an attack, in all cities, and will be able to determine it as in years past, the city that Karveki would trick or treat was stampeded with undead, of all strengths and missions. In years past Karveki was tolerated because some argued that his past he was a Noble, while others argued that this was Karveki's way of getting the town to free his spirit to travel to the graveyards. No one knows what to expect this year.

603 November: To the people of Avendale and visitors within these lands, Karveki the Vampire will be destroyed on our own terms, not on his. His existence is forfeit and his curse shall be lifted through means of his permanent destruction. Once Karveki Calypso Ramirez stood as a proud and just man, and now Karveki the Vampire has stood for well over 1,000 years as an undead plague upon these very lands. I say this in no uncertain terms, as a proud Knight and citizen of these lands, those who do not wish to help shall get swept out of the way by the tide of our resolve. Those who lend their strength of arm or mind will be lauded as heroes in tavern song for many years to come. Karveki’s declaration of war is laughable, and ridiculous; we are already at war. I say this now to you Karveki, do your worst, because if I fall another will take my place. It will not be as easy as you predict. Soon you will be resting peacefully in the graveyards, Karveki the Vampire.

604 May: Circle of Power Destroyed. A Circle of Power was found to be within the city boundaries of Greystone by Goodman Garion Griswold. Garion brought this information to the nobles of Avendale and pointed out the possibility of the Kingdoms adversaries to use the circle to mount an attack upon the Healers Guild. The Nobles quested Garion to discover the resources needed to destroy the Circle of Power, and within 24 hours Garion returned bearing the news that the resources were present at the gathering and among the populace. The Nobles then quested Goodman Garion to remove the Circle of Power from the lands lest it be used to harm the commons of our kingdom. Garion later reported to the nobles that he and a dozen others had combined there efforts and resources to remove the magical circle.

604 June: Let it be known that Lady Elsinore of Evendarr has accepted Cedric Alacoors proposal that they be wed. The ceremony shall take place as soon as both do reach the town by caravan Friday night around 10 pm. All are welcome to attend.

He also reported that every time he has seen the tower, he has seen a lone figure observing the tower a short distance away, who seemingly vanishes when approached. Anyone with information as to who the person is should report to Lieutenant Cole.

604 June: Information is also requested as to the whereabouts of Milavious Jelofria, a local chef who is renown for his tasty custard desserts. His home and kitchen are both locked tight and although he is known to go on walkabouts to search for new ingredients, he has not been seen in a fortnight and his friends grow worried. If you have information on his whereabouts, please contact Lieutenant Cole of the Saidu Garrison.

604 July: The Council of Seven of New Home stated that they unanimously agreed that New Home residents would be ruled according to the laws of the Kingdom of Avendale. They released this statement "Let it be known that Sir Kaylin of Avendale is Hereby empowered to speak on behalf of New Home in discussions regarding the joining of New Home and the Kingdom of Avendale. He shall be so empowered until the last day of the month of December in the year 605 by Evendarr Reckoning. The Council of Seven, New Home". The Council is confident that Sir Kaylin and his successors, shall guide us correctly in the future".

604 August: Evendarr City Museum Robbed! by Salee Parknat - On August 14, 604 ER, one of the most prominent Evendarrian Museums, The Moosejaw Gallery, announced that more than a dozen items are missing from their storage vault. The last inventory was completed in October 603, with all heirlooms accounted for within the grand storage area of the museum – an area off limits to all but a few people.

According to sources close the museum, an individual tried to sell an item to a gallery curator. When the curator, Lady Alanna Xertina, heard what the items was, she immediately contacted a Royal Knight, Sir Tomas Gillian, who posed in guardsmen clothing and went with lady Alanna to meet with the seller. Traveling to the common sector outside Evendarr City, they were able to find inn where they were to meet. After introductions, they began to negotiate the purchase of the object - a pair of gold candle holders made by the renowned Master Craftsmen Carey Krimson. Carey donated the candle holders to the Evendarrian Orphanage, who in turn gave them to the museum for a yearly stipend for the orphanage. After agreeing on 37 gold, the thief went into the other room and returned with the candle holders. The candle holders were taken back to the gallery and verified against drawings. Following this incident, the security advisor chose to close the gallery, and perform yet another physical inventory. Sir Tomas Gillian and several of his followers raided the tavern within hours, capturing eight individuals and numerous stolen goods - the Inn being a front for the underground market of stolen goods.

The last known attempt at thievery in the Moosejaw Gallery was in April of 602, when a rogue hid inside the gallery and managed to pry a painting of a great dwarven battle, The Great Defeat, from the wall. The thief hadn’t taken into account that several curators were still within the building and was noticed when he moved toward the door to exit. The thief was arrested after a small chase through Evendarr City.

It has been confirmed that none of the missing items were being presented in the public gallery, but taken from the storage rooms. Most gallery pieces are on display for 2 or 3 months and remain in their storage case the remainder of the year. Several cases were found to be empty after a complete review of inventory was completed.

The royal inquisitors are searching far and wide for the stolen museum items, dispatched in early September. If they are anything like Sir Tivorak Nobel, they will stop at nothing until they find the missing items. When asked about the incident, Sir Tivorak said “We will find the stolen items, and the band that stole them. And we will punish them. They know we are coming and there is no where they can hide.”

The Museum has not divulged exactly what items are missing as of yet, but rumors are rampant that they are gifts from donors spanning the entire continent of Avalon and in some cases, beyond. The museum retains many items that have made their way to the Royal Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences on Lake Hollym, as well as items that are gifted for a small period of time, say 3 to 5 years, at which they will move on to another gallery in another great city, for all the people to see and learn of its history.

Empty cases were found for gifts from the former queen of Myanthea, the former duke of Ashbury Alaric Dragonheart, several items gifted by Baron Cecil Eastwyck and Mandrake Capulus of Ravenholt in 525, a family heirloom given from the Varik family in Nordenn, the former duke of Volta, at least 2 items gifted by Duke Argent Voltan of Volta, a gift from the Kingdom of Kaurath from years past, and a tall Flowery Candle holder from the Pinetree Elves of Therendry. We have not been able to confirm rumors that the ‘Dragon Armor’ of Jonathon Chalendry, an historian who once led the expedition into Rockshire, was stolen, which is rumored to have been made with magically enchanted lizard scavenger scales that allow the wearer immunity to normal and silver weapons. Several white Bows were stolen, many of them being very important to Draelonde and Quentari. More than a half dozen weapons were stolen as well, along with the weapon case. All of the weapons taken had runic writings upon them and were in immaculate shape, well oiled and strengthened to resist destruction.

Rumor has it that the current list of suspects is EVERYONE in Evendarr City. However, reliable sources indicate that they are searching for individuals who were among the visitors to the museum in the past 12 months. Scribes have made duplicates of the logs of attendance to the museum, including all of those individuals who made donations.

One of the current theories speculates that the items were taken during one of the last several private showings that closed the museum to the public. This particular gallery is known for closing to the public for a month, several times each year, to accept gifts and donations to the museum, and finally, to return items to their owners. It is during these periods that certain items in the storage cellar would be brought forth to be seen. We shall report more as we learn it.

September 604: Insane Man At Large
On the night of September 24, 604, a certifiably insane man - known only by 'Tomas' - escaped from the home of Cynthia Desimone, an aged retired adventuress who has devoted her remaining time on Tyrra to the salvation of those not blessed with all their mental facilities. He has an obsession with weapons, loud conversation, and showmanship. DO NOT attempt to converse with him, as it is not known at this time whether his condition is contagious. He should be considered EXTREMELY armed, but not all that dangerous. He is a bit shorter than six feet tall, with a stocky build. He has brown hair, green eyes, no scars or tattoos, and will be carrying as many long and short swords as he can possibly get his hands on. If you see him, do not apprehend him, but please contact the Desimone Foundation as soon as possible. Desimone manor is located just south of the city of Greystone or can be reached by leaving a message with the Saidu Garrison. House Desimone appreciates your help.

604 September: The Old Elf Returns!
An Elven elder, named Delson, was seen walking about Avendale in September. rumor has it that he went to Squire Lillaethen of Nordenn, an Elven woman who frequents Avendale and the Silvermyst, and who has established a Bardic Guild in the Estate of Huntington, near her own manor, overlooking the Frost River and protected by a Garrison from the Valor Bridge. the elder elf brought with him the grave news that the Lord of the Haunted Wood was trying to return to Avendale and that there was a magical way to stop him from coming into Avendale. Bringing with him a letter from an ally he named Monesta, he told Squire Lilly that she had less than 1 hour before the gate would open, and that she had to hurry. Read the Letter here; Delson answered questions posed to him with a riddle of sorts, rather than being straightforward. when asked about the style of answer given, he explained "those who seek answers must look within themselves for the answer. though we provide a hint to the answer, it is meant to offer a viewpoint and a focal point for continued internal delving which in turn causes a answer to be found after some thought". Squire Lily, with the remainder of the court of Nordenn including Squire Chase, Benedict Black, Caleb, Pacey, Amethyst and Arcuda, moved through the night from adventurer to adventurer, noble cou8rt to noble court, seeking any answers and resources that could be shared. The Avendale Court of Brisbane got involved and helped to find the formal magic components mentioned in the letter from Monesta, with Michiko and Markham Asherton approaching the old elf for some answers. Rumor has it that during the conversation Markham reached out to check the old elf for a metabolism. Delson did not appreciate the act, and explained to the young elf that his actions were insulting and 'whomever taught you to be so rude had better learn themselves a new way of dealing with unanswered questions. Had you explained your fears and asked to check me for my living pulse I would gladly have agreed." The squire lily and her court had accomplished the task and gathered all the necessary ingredients needed to forge the magical gem that would block the Lord of the Haunted Wood from entering Avendale and corrupting the forest and land within its confines. The court of Brisbane, the Nordenn court of Ashbury, the Black Dawn, and others moved to a place nearby within the woods where the outline of a rift could be seen appearing. Within minutes the pulse for the rift grew stronger until finally its brightness broke through and shone on the gathered adventures. Squire Lillaethen placed the magical gem she had just imbued upon the very center of the rift and it immediately stopped forming, a sigh of relief coming from those gathered. Conversation continued with the old elf, whom many thought might be a vampire because of a curse which he alleges was given to him by the lord of the haunted wood - a curse against magical light that causes him to weaken drastically. Roberto, an adventurer who witness the coming of the old elf, said " when he stood in the magical light he lost his ability to walk and seemed to get very, very weak. His guards had to carry him beyond the light for him to regain his strength."

604 September: Karix Army of Orc and Lizard Men Approaches Greystone City
The old elf, Delson, also brought with him news of an Orc and lizard man army numbering roughly 600, located just about 2 miles north of Greystone city, about 1/2 mile beyond his home. it was the Goblinoids and Orc warriors that sacked his small farm where he and his small family lived within the forest about 1 mile north of Greystone. Never had he been attacked by the minotaur or the Orcs, or the lizard men, or the spiders, until just recently. The black dawn - Jaereth, Simetri, and Donsavia, with the aid of Dale Connors, went and scouted the woods for more Orcs or lizard men war parties and were able to locate one group of Orc's that had captured a townsperson. they were able to sack into the Orc encampment and free the townsperson.

604 September: New Merchant In Town?
This past gathering in the city of Greystone, a man by the name of "Morgan" was noticed wandering around. When asked, one commoner had this to say: 'Well, he asked for some kittykat named Bonk or King or something like that.. I told him to try the City Center, where the adventuring types are. He gave me a magic armor, and a bless, and some other things that I can't see or feel, but I's got no reason to think he lied about it. He seemed to know a lot about that magic stuff.' This reporter went to the City Center in pursuit of the story, but only got more of the same. Apparently, this merchant had business with a local Gorbe by the name of Bling. Once that business was completed, he proceeded to hand out protective spells to more than a few of the younger adventuring types, before he disappeared into the night. He has not been located for comment on what type of wares he deals in.

604 September: Spirit Bones Found in Greystone!
Several bones of the dead were found in the city of Greystone during the last few months. The Saidu garrison has reported dozens of ghosts appearing all around the city of Greystone. Though their attacks upon the soldiers and militia are not all that harmful, there appearance does provide an opportunity for the Earth Guard to seek the bones of the dead, which are usually within 50 feet of the spot where the ghost appears. Once the bone of a spirit is found, they must be laid to rest by being given a proper burial and ceremony in a bon-a-fide cemetery. the young adventurers Roberto and Arcuda fought a ghost for more than 30 minutes until they were able to find the very bone that locked it to our plane. Knowing that a ceremony of some sort had to be performed, Arcuda went and asked Simetri of the Black Dawn for some advice on how to say farewell to a person in ceremony. After receiving the advice from Simetri, Arcuda ran off to find his traveling companions. Under the protection of Squire Finn of the Ducal Court of Avendale, Roberto and Arcuda entered the woods in search of an old burial grounds. within minutes they were able to find one just a few dozen yards away form the center of town, and they sat down for a proper burial and farewell to one of the ancient Brisbane citizens who had been at unrest for more than 1000 years. After a brief ceremony, the spirit appeared and faded to dust, without saying a word. The people of the Empire of Brisbane believed very much that when a person died a proper ceremony must be given to allow the spirit to pass to the graveyards. if the person isn't given a proper and decent burial, the spirit remains trapped on the plane of the living, Tyrra, until such time as someone frees it from its eternal unrest (by finding the bone and giving it a proper burial). On occasion, the individual whose spirit was freed may appear and whisper words to those present. other times, those who have released a spirit to move on to the graveyards have been visited by a ghost in their dreams, usually bespeaking of a warning of disaster. The Saidu garrison asks that any persons gaining spoken insight or dreams of disaster contact them immediately.

604 September: Barbarian - A Long Way from Home
On the morning of September 26, 604, in the City of Greystone, a Barbarian furrier came to town looking for our famous Tavern fare. He came all the way from Volta, on a trapping expedition, and said that he 'couldn't see going past the tavern when it smelled sooooo good, and me being sooooo hungry'. As you can see, our Tavern is quickly becoming known all over Tyrra, if men are walking ALL the way from Volta for our cuisine. Once he left the warm comfort of the Tavern's hall, he was witnessed to sell a magic item, and leave town. We hope he returns, and brings more of his Voltan family with him - and their appetites! When we have people coming from all over Evendarr for our fine food, how can you Avendalians pass at the chance to stop on by?! Affordable prices, clean tables, serving wenches (on occasion), and quite possibly the best food in all of Evendarr!

604 September: Who is The Boss Man?
An individual named the Boss Man, who evidently likes Red, came to Avendale in search of what many would call, recruits. It seems that the Boss Man takes a liking to the newer adventurers, and perhaps the ones that are active, as he told Arcuda as much during conversation. Several individuals asked The Boss Man is he was undead, or if he planned on killing Arcuda, should Arcuda exit a circle of power that he was within, and safe from the undead that were outside the circle. The Boss Man had cut down the few undead that were plaguing the town, with what seemed to be very mighty blows form his sword. He seemed to be more annoyed at having to use his weapons skills to protect the two guardsmen that were traveling with him from undead. After some convincing by the Boss Man, Arcuda exited the circle and joined him for a small walk. though Arcuda didn't talk about his mission directly with anyone, many picked up on the fact that he was sent on a mission to find something for The Boss Man, that the Boss Man was testing him for future retrieval missions. Arcuda spoke with the Boss Man for quite some time afterward, and seemed very pleased with the reward, what appeared to be a magic item, that was given to him upon success of his mission. A small group of men, all wearing Red shirts, and some wearing red leggings and cloaks, have come to stay within the commoners inn at Greystone City. It is common knowledge that Arcuda was on his way back from traveling to Ashbury in Evendarr to help fight the Sessuar with many other individuals.

The nobles of Ashbury, and its citizens wanted to sincerely thank those individuals who helped, and continue to help, fight against and defeat the Sessuar. Both Saturday afternoon and Sunday proved once again that the stalwart adventurers would not let their lands be overrun by adversary, murderer, and slaver.
